Plan has been working in Togo since 1988 and is currently seeking a Project Manager to support with the Muskoka Initiative. The Muskoka Initiative is a project aimed to accelerate the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals on reducing child mortality (MDG4) and improving maternal health (MDG5).

Plan Togo’s programmes benefits 26,320 children in 242 communities in Togo.

The Role

Reporting to the Country Director, with a dotted line to the French national office, the Mother and Child Health Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the overall implementation of the mother and child health program funded by the French Development Agency and in close collaboration with the “Direction Nationale de la Santé” of the Togolese Ministry of Health and three field partners. The program coordinator will ensure the coordination of stakeholders to implement mother and child health activities and training to the medical staff in rural locations “Region des Plateaux”.

Do you have what it takes?

In order to succeed in this challenging and varied role you will require previous demonstrable experience in project/program development and implementation.

Previous experience in Public Health in Africa as well as in in community development alongside experience in management or administration of health projects is also advantageous.

You will also require experience of effective participatory M&E systems, of strategic planning processes and of financial management systems.

Previous experience of leading a team is also preferred.

Fluent in spoken and written French and also English

Type of Contract: 12 month fixed term contract – with the possibility of extension

Location: The position will be based 50% of the time at the Country Office in Lomé and the other 50% at the Program Unit Atakpamé

Salary: Circa $50,000 USD per annum plus benefits

Reports to: Togo Country Director - dotted line to the Head of Programs, Plan International France
