Main objective of the role:
Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Officer will work to ensure the smooth, efficient and effective functioning of the Regional Office Finance Department. S/He takes responsibility for provision of financial support for the West and Central Africa Regional Hub by :
Ensuring that accounting procedures are adhered to and that accounting and reporting standards are met in AFWC countries and at Regional Office
Ensuring that financial systems are well maintained to enable the smooth and effective functioning of the Regional Hub.
We are looking for someone who will
· Work with the Country Finance Manager in the Country Offices to ensure that the audit ToRs are comprohensively prepared.
· Develop effective and streamlined financial sustems for the region, in conjunction with International Office guidelines.
· Perform quarterly review of the country Office accounts and hold monthly finance meetings with the Country Office accountants.
· Manage the Regional Office and Country Office Monthly payroll to ensure prompt payment of correct salaries.
· Ensure that all statutory requirements (in regard to income taxes and returns) are complied with in the Regional and Country Offices and monthly reporting to IP prepared.
· Review banking relationships and Audit firms.
· Comply with all safety and health procedures and requirements at CBM and at all times ensure your safety and health and that of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at CBM.
· Be available as a potential member of regional Teams of Competence-Finance
· Be a permanent member of the procurement committee.
· Perform administration functions
We are looking for someone who has
· Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and Management.
· Professional qualifications in accounting and advantage (CPA-K, ACCA, CIMA).
· Work experience in similar field, particularly with International NGO or international development organisations.
· The commitment to perform all tasks in a confidential manner.
· Ability to prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
· Effective communication skills.
· Aptitude as effective team player.
· Ability to work independtly.
· Ability to integrate into a multi-cultural environment.
· Commitment to reflect CBM Values in daily work.
· Ability and willingness to learn and to pass on information, and train as required.
· Professional proficiency in French
· Professional proficiency in English
· MS Office computer literate and is familiar with the use of Excel spread sheets and accounting pac.
· Ability to develop and maintain accounting systems with accounting systems, which encompasses large amounts of information.

The role is a permanent contract located in Lomé, Togo. This position has a national compensation package and is subject to local employment and immigration laws.
